Eliška Tkadlčíková performs Kalabis in Jindřichův Hradec

On Saturday 15 August 2026, pianist Eliška Tkadlčíková gave a recital dedicated to the legacy of Viktor Kalabis and Zuzana Růžičková at the Chapel of St Mary Magdalene in Jindřichův Hradec.

The programme included a selection from Kalabis’s piano cycle Akcenty (Accents), Op. 26, alongside works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Alexander Scriabin and Vítězslav Novák. The chapel was filled to the last seat, and Eliška took leave of the audience only after two encores.

Eliška Tkadlčíková is the 2025 laureate of the Viktor Kalabis and Zuzana Růžičková Prize for outstanding results achieved during studies at HAMU. For us, the prize is not a one-off award but the beginning of a collaboration – and to see a young pianist choose Kalabis’s music for herself and set it beside Mozart and Scriabin is the best possible continuation of that collaboration.
